birthday paradox

The Birthday Paradox Explained: Why 23 People Is All It Takes

The birthday paradox shows that in a group of just 23 people, the probability of two sharing a birthday exceeds 50%. This happens because 23 people create 253 unique pairs — far more comparisons than intuition suggests — and each pair is an independent chance at a match.
fiscal multiplier effect

The Fiscal Multiplier Effect: Why $1 Billion Doesn’t Always Mean $2.5 Billion

The fiscal multiplier effect is the ratio of total GDP change to an initial government spending injection. Theory predicts a 2.5x return when the marginal propensity to consume is 0.6, but tax drag, import leakage, and inflation routinely push real-world multipliers below 1.0.
stack data structure

Stack Data Structure: From O(n²) Failure to O(1) Win in Competitive Programming

A stack data structure uses last-in, first-out access to deliver O(1) push and pop operations. Replacing a horizontal array with a dual-stack architecture drops time complexity from O(n²) to O(n), the difference between a Time Limit Exceeded verdict and a perfect score on contests like the CCC.

F.A.Q

Your Questions, Answered

No. Advanced coding isn’t required. While basic familiarity with Python is helpful, the IOAI primarily tests mathematical foundations, algorithms, and problem-solving—not programming.

Both. You’ll study rigorous mathematical theory in video lessons, then apply it to practice problems modeled on IOAI challenges.

The IOAI is one of the newest official international science Olympiads, launched to reflect the importance of AI in research and education.

Focus on probability, statistics, linear algebra, and optimization, plus applied problem-solving in AI-related areas. Our program integrates all these topics.

The Olympiad typically includes a written exam, problem-solving tasks, and practical applications. Each section is scored separately and contributes to the overall result.

Students in high school (Grades 9–12) are eligible, typically under the age of 20. Official eligibility rules are set by the IOAI each year.

Our mastery-based structure combines in-depth video lessons, a question bank with Olympiad-style problems, and an interactive platform where you can run code and check results. This model lets you learn independently while practicing the exact skills needed for success in the IOAI.
